Infant sick symptoms

Although fever in baby is a sign that your child is sick, only fever is not a serious issue. A baby can have a low temperature and might be seriously ill. But your child is under the age of three months and got the fever of 100 then you should rely on your doctor.

Dehydration

It’s a harmful reduction of water from body. Dehydration happens when you do not have enough water in your body, According to its need. Due to dehydration body does not work accurately. One can have severed type of dehydration depending how much fluid is missing from your body. It’s normal to lose water from your body. Every day through sweating, peeing, pooping and by spiting. We can easily fulfill the lower amount of water from our body by drinking juices and taking fruit containing water. If a person doesn’t do so then he can get dehydration.

In children dehydration can be due to Vomiting, Physical activities, Diarrhea or Sweating in a hot day.

Symptoms of Dehydration

  1. Dry and sticky mouth.
  2. Few or no tears while crying.
  3. Decreases of urine output.
The little boy drinks a bitter medicine

Dehydration because they do not drink enough water in whole day.

Such factors can also put your child in severe dehydration.

Fever.

Vomiting.

Diarrhea.

Poor intake of water during an illness.

Sweating.

What do we give a child during Dehydration.

  1. Give fruit containing water
  2. Soup and clear soda must add in diet
  3. Continue regular diet
  4. Use rehydration drinks

Diagnosed

Doctor can often diagnose dehydration on the biases of physical conditions. If you are in the state of dehydration your blood pressure will be lower as compare to normal level especially when you are moving from lying or standing position, heart beat becomes faster.

To confirm the dehydration you must have some tests like blood test or urinalysis. The best thing in treatment depends on age. children who are severely dehydrated should be treated in hospitals.

Fever.

Fever is a high body temperature. A temperature which is up to 102 Degree is helpful for body to fight against infections. Mostly adults and healthy children can easily tolerate the temperature of 99 to 100 Degree without any problem. As compare to adults children tend to have high temperature.

Symptoms in fever.

In children, fever occupying symptoms such as Fussiness, Poor Appetite, Sore Throat, Cough and Diarrhea. These are important symptoms to rely to your doctor?

Call your doctor, if your child is suffering with such fever.

  1. Look very sick.
  2. In drowsy or fussy.
  3. Has weakened immune system or other medical problem.
  4. Has a seizure.
  5. Have other symptoms such as sore Throat, Headache, Stiff Neck or Earache

How do you down a fever?

Place a wet cool cloth on patient’s forehead. Give a lukewarm tub bath stay in bed and keep hydrated and stay cool.

Diarrhea

Usually diarrhea is common in infants, but call the doctor if there is seriously black or red in stool. If a baby pass poop more than six in a day and is not taking fluid it’s the sign of dehydration.

Symptoms of Diarrhea

Tired.

Headache.

Dry skin and Increase thirst.

 

Vomiting

Vomiting is not a serious issue if it happens once or twice in a day. While it happens more frequently contusing blood or green call your doctor.

Treatment

A clear liquid diet to rest the stomach, medication to control nausea and extreme dehydration may cause by vomiting.

Difficult breathing

Your baby is breathing fast than usual.

Infant’s head is bobbing

Your baby grunts while exhaling

Your babes’ lip color will change
